Here’s how we’re supporting our team members in addition to our suite of healthcare benefits, flexible time off policies, hardship loan programs, scholarships, team member discounts, and other programs that remain in place:

Are you offering adjusted or special grocery shopping hours in the California during the shelter-in-place order?


In order to best serve the California residents, our stores will continue to operate with regular hours from 7am-10pm daily to support the community. Effective Tuesday, March 24, we will be open from 7am-8pm daily. Our team members are committed to providing you and your family with affordable fresh and healthy groceries along with wellness essentials to support your health and wellbeing during these uncertain times.

Some customers have asked about special shopping hours for elderly guests. We’re dedicated to serving our customers during this unprecedented time and have given a great deal of consideration to this matter. Special shopping hours can result in long entry lines and crowding, which conflicts with social distancing recommendations for the elderly and at-risk groups. To best serve everyone in our communities, we’ve invested in more staffing to maintain our focus on customer service and to provide a clean and safe shopping environment. We’re also implementing new checkout measures that encourage customers to maintain a healthy distance from one another, and also installing plexiglas barriers to reduce contact with team members.

Beginning Wednesday, April 29, we’ll be open regular hours from 7am – 10pm.

What sanitation and social distancing measures are you taking in store to promote the health and safety of customers and team members?


The health and safety of guests like you, and our dedicated teams that serve you, remains our priority. We are closely following CDC and other health authority guidelines and are regularly providing our store teams the latest safety guidance. In addition to our regular food safety and cleaning procedures, we have invested additional labor hours into our stores to allow for more frequent cleaning, paying close attention to high touch areas such as service counters, restrooms, carts and checkout lanes.

Stores are implementing steps to promote social distancing throughout, including floor markers at register lines encouraging six feet of space between shoppers, and have installed plexiglass register barriers for added protection during checkout. Additionally, store managers will regulate the number of shoppers inside the event that stores become crowded.

All store team members must complete a health questionnaire and have their temperature checked before every shift. They are also required to wear masks on every shift, while team members in produce, meat, deli, bakery and bulk are required to wear gloves.

What products are available?


We’re committed to offering you access to the healthy foods you rely on us for during this unprecedented time. Our local teams are working hard to keep our stores stocked by working closely with our distribution center and supply chain partners to ensure regular deliveries. We’re confident in our continued supply and ask you to be mindful of your neighbors when making purchases on your next visit. We will continue to offer delivery and pickup services where applicable through Instacart.

The following self-service areas have been closed: salad bar, olive bar, soup bar, and bulk. When possible, customers will be guided to pre-packaged items from these areas.

Are you limiting purchase quantities?


In an effort to support as many customers as possible, we ask that you please limit your purchases of fresh beef, fresh ground beef, fresh chicken, fresh pork, yeast, eggs, gallons of milk, bath tissue and paper towels to two packages per customer. We also ask that you limit the purchase of smoked meats to four per customer. Thank you for your understanding and support.

What is your policy on rainchecks?


Our teams are working hard to deliver on our commitment to providing healthy affordable foods, but we cannot offer new rainchecks or any substitutions at this time. All previously issued rainchecks are not redeemable during this period. Any previously issued rainchecks that expire while our policy is suspended will automatically be valid for an additional 30 days from when we reactivate the raincheck policy. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

How to link your Instacart account with a valid Sprouts.com account?


Once you log in with your sprouts.com account that matches your Instacart account, you will be prompted to link your existing Instacart account. Click the “Send Code Now” link within the modal. You will receive the code via your email on file. Once you enter that code, you’ll be able to see your previous Instacart orders and Express Membership on sprouts.com.
