No. Sprouts turkeys are sold fresh, never frozen. Fresh turkeys are highly perishable so they may have some ice in the cavity. This means that they’ve been kept at the right temperature for optimum freshness and safety.
Unlike “frozen solid” turkeys, which are typically brought down to 30 degrees below zero, the fresh turkeys at Sprouts have been shipped to us and stored at temperatures between 26°F and 28°F (as required by law). The below-freezing temperature causes some ice to appear in the cavity and possibly around the joints. The ice is frozen water, not frozen meat.
Our organic turkeys are free-range, humanely raised and fed a certified organic diet on family farms. They never receive antibiotics, ever.
Holiday preorders may be canceled for a full refund with no additional fees up until two days before the scheduled in-store pick up. To cancel your order, view your order within purchase history and click the cancel order button. If you no longer see a cancel order button within the order, your order may already be in progress.

for customers with a Sprouts account. This convenient pre-order system allows you to confidently order your purchase in advance. Upon checkout online, you will be asked to select a date for in-store pickup at the deli or meat counter. You will also be asked for a form of payment to be charged a hold for the purchase. The final charge will be reflected on your account statement at the close of business on the day you pick up your order.
Additionally, you may purchase a turkey in store without a pre-order or place an Instacart order for delivery or curbside pickup at sprouts.com/order. Availability for in-store purchases and Instacart orders may vary. We recommend pre-ordering your centerpiece meats ahead.
