A: Sprouts sources fresh chicken in the meat department from a variety of trusted supplier partners. Regardless of supplier, all fresh chicken sold at Sprouts must meet the company’s strict quality, sourcing and animal welfare standards. A: Yes. Sprouts is proud to partner with suppliers that meet its standards for quality and animal welfare. Sprouts works with Pasturebird, which raises chickens in mobile coops that are moved to fresh pasture daily. The birds have access to fresh air, sunshine and outdoor space to peck, scratch and forage. This approach combines animal care with regenerative land management and soil practices.
