Get Kids Cooking Program

Kids cooking in a classroom

In celebration of National Nutrition Month®, we’re awarding 25 schools with cooking carts and supplies to bring hands-on cooking lessons to kids!

Through the Get Kids Cooking contest, hosted by our Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation, Sprouts shoppers nominated schools in their communities for the chance to win a “ready-to-go” cooking program.

Each selected school will receive a cooking cart, small appliances and kitchen essentials, educator guides with classroom-friendly recipes, teacher stipends, Sprouts gift cards for fresh ingredients, and even a store tour or on-campus Sprouts pop-up market for students, where they’ll learn how to pick the ripest produce, discover a variety of fruits and vegetables, and gain the confidence to become food explorers!

Why Cooking Programs?

School-based cooking programs give children the opportunity to engage with fresh fruits and vegetables in a hands-on way—learning to slice, dice, and transform ingredients into healthy and delicious food. When kids experience the joy of creating their own tasty (and nutritious!) treats, they carry this knowledge with them, making healthier food choices across their lifetime.
