Candied Walnuts with Sesame Seeds

Walnuts whole and raw
3 tbsp
Sesame Seeds
1 1/2 tsp
Sea Salt
1/4 tsp
Cayenne Pepper
1/4 tsp
Ground Ginger


  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F/180 degrees C. Line a sheet pan with aluminum foil and grease the foil.
  2. In a medium saucepan stir the sugar and water together and bring to a boil. Cook for 5 minutes and then remove from heat.
  3. Stir the walnuts into the sugar water until all are well coated.
  4. In a medium sized mixing bowl, stir together the sesame seeds, sea salt, cayenne pepper and ginger. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the walnuts to the bowl and toss with the spices.
  5. Transfer the walnuts to the prepared sheet tray and spread out evenly. Bake for 20 minutes. Allow to cool completely before eating.
