If you're like us, you're pumped for all things pumpkin! That distinct fall flavor is in full swing here at Sprouts so there's no need to resist your cravings another second. In fact, take them even further with one of these unique new ways to enjoy the pumpkin craze – including sweet and savory, vegan and paleo options!
1 can of pumpkin puree
¾ cup of brown sugar
½ cup of apple cider vinegar
3 tsp. of spice (pumpkin pie and cinnamon work well)
Simmer ingredients together for a half hour.
Enjoy a new topping to spread on bread or with apple slices!
Add water and sauté the onions in a soup pot for six to seven minutes, then add all other ingredients (except coconut flakes). Simmer for 15 minutes (uncovered), stirring frequently. For a perfectly smooth soup, use an immersion blender to smooth the onions.
Plate and top with freshly ground pepper, cinnamon and the toasted coconut flakes.
