The Sprouts Experience
A more comfortable way to shop
Time and time again, we hear from customers who say that they like shopping at Sprouts because it's different. And it is. The stores are built on a human scale. We don't wall you in with a canyon of excess, or use the "forced flow" design of traditional supermarkets that makes you feel like a rat in a maze.
The displays are typically set to a height of about six feet so you can see the entire store when you first walk in; and the open floor plan allows you to find the products you are looking for, easily, and get in and out quickly.
The stores are reminiscent of an old-time farmers market, with their crates and stacked produce, and a soundtrack from the '50s and '60s. But they are also modern-day supermarkets, carrying everything from juice to gelato and aloe to aluminum foil.
We also pride ourselves on old-fashioned customer service. Lots of retailers say that – they'd be foolish not to – but we actually do it. We hire well, we train our people right and we make an effort to go above and beyond the call to help you get what you want.
That's a refreshing change from the impersonal, robotic feeling you get at most supermarkets. But it's in our DNA, and has been since Henry Boney opened his first produce stand in 1943.
